The Ogden Museum of Southern Art opened its doors to the New Orleans community in honor and celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Participants of all ages got to listen to some of the speeches of Dr. King. Students stood before visitors to the museum and expounded on thoughts and ideas of the day, in what can be described as a live poetry/reading session. Through arts and craft, younger kids (in honor of Dr, King’s I Have a Dream speech) were able to tell the world about their own dreams. It was a day of reflection, expression and honor. The New Orleans Chapter of The Links, Incorporated was proud to have participated in the event.
