International Trends and Services Continues to Serve Jamaica

One Mission, One Love, a Signature Initiative of The Southern Area of The Links, Incorporated, in partnership with Region 4 of the Jamaican Ministry of Education, broke ground at Watford Hill Primary School, in Hopewell Hanover, Jamaica to build a pre-school classroom during The Links, Incorporated’s January 2017 Global Delegation to Jamaica.

The Southern Area’s initiative continues in 2018 and today more than 700 students and teachers of Watford Primary School in Jamaica will benefit from the facilities, supplies and staff that members of The Links, Incorporated  worked hard to build and sustain for the Hopewell, Hanover community.

This year, The New Orleans Chapter of The Links, Incorporated has again donated much need personal hygiene supplies and articles of clothing to Watford Primary School. We hope our donation this year will bring an added smile to the faces of the students with the addition of a backpack, soccer socks, sunscreen and T- shirts. Germaine Davillier, the New Orleans chapter’s ITS Chair, met the Southern Area One Mission One Love Chair, Thelma Mumford-Glover, in Atlanta prior to the 2018 delegation’s departure for Jamaica. The delegation transported the chapter’s donations to the Watford Primary School.

The  third and final global delegation to Jamaica took place January 23 – 27, 2018. The Links, Incorporated has transformed the community of Hopewell Hanover, Jamaica for many years to come.
