The Xavier University Art Department Student Exhibition Sponsored by The New Orleans (LA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated continues through October 2, 2016 at The Ogden Museum of Southern Art. On September 22, 2016, the Ogden Museum, during its weekly ‘After Hours’ session, graciously honored the Xavier University Art students with a guided tour of the museum’s current exhibitions. We thank Ogden’s Education Manager, Ellen Balkin, and our gallery guide, Larry Tierney, for a fabulous tour, for giving our local HBCU art students the opportunity to showcase their work, and, for all, an evening filled with transformative art and soulful music.
We also thank Mr. Ron Bechet, Chairman of the Xavier University Art Department, for collaborating with the chapter’s Arts facet and his unwavering commitment and leadership in cultivating talent with the aim toward positively impacting the community.
