The National Trends and Services facet of the New Orleans (LA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated is holding voter registration drives at Edna Karr High School, Landry Walker College and Career Preparatory High School, Algiers Technology Academy and Maritime Academy September 19 through 26, 2016.
Many students are new to voting and are not familiar with the voter registration/application process. The New Orleans Chapter hopes to make the voter registration process easy and less intimidating and to educate as many young voters as possible about the importance of making their voices heard at the polls on Election Day. We believe young people have the power to make a difference.
