The New Orleans (LA) Chapter was honored to be recognized by our National President, Dr. Kimberly Jefferies Leonard, for our 32-year partnership with the Scripps National Spelling Bee.
It was yet another occasion to celebrate 2021’s champion – Louisiana’s first and the first African American champion of the Scripps’s National Spelling Bee – Zaila Avant-garde.
