The Links, Incorporated supports Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Through its National HBCU Initiative, it seeks to increase the retention and graduation rates of students attending HBCUs.
New Orleans is the proud home of three HBCUs: Dillard University, Southern University – New Orleans and Xavier University – New Orleans. The State of Louisiana boasts a total of six HBCUs with Grambling State University (Grambling), Southern University and A & M College (Baton Rouge), and Southern University – Shreveport rounding out the remaining three HBCU institutions.
Many New Orleans (LA) Chapter members attended HBCUs or have family and friends who matriculated from one of the 107 HBCUs in the United States. We show our love for HBCUs year round.
