National Donor Sabbath

National Donor Sabbath is a three-day observance during which faith leaders from many religions, donor families, transplant recipients, and donation and transplantation professionals participate in services and programs to educate the public about the need for the lifesaving and healing gifts passed to others through transplantation, while also encouraging people to register their decision to be organ, eye and tissue donors.

As we do yearly, on November 20, 2022, the New Orleans Links Cluster chapters of The Links, Incorporated participated in the national donor sabbath observance and educated the community about the gift of giving. Donors and transplant recipients spoke about their experiences and urged attendees to “Be a light to those who are waiting.”
