On August 13, 2016, members of the New Orleans (LA) Chapter of the Links, Incorporated participated in a community health fair at James M. Singleton Charter Middle School. Information was distributed on Hep C and mental health assistance in the New Orleans area.
The Links, Incorporated’s national Hepatitis C Initiative ensures that Links members and the communities we serve, understand the incidence and prevalence of Hepatitis C in the African-American community, how the infection is transmitted, and how the disease can be prevented. We partner with national organizations that specialize in educating and preventing Hep C as well as partner with HBCUs and other African-American organizations committed to the fight against Hep C.
