The Links, Incorporated historically has been an organization committed to change the culture around voting and close the race and age voting gap to ensure every eligible voter is registered and ready to vote.
To that end, The New Orleans (LA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated and The Pontchartrain (LA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, in partnership with CLOVER (formerly Kingsley House), hosted a voter education forum featuring Louisiana State Representative and New Orleans (LA) Chapter member, Delisha Boyd, Norris Henderson, Founder and Executive Director of Voice of the Experienced (VOTE), and Dr. Sandra Wilson, Orleans Parish Registrar of Voters. State and local ballot measures were explored, as well as national affairs affecting bread and butter issues important to everyone. Importantly, the voting process from registration, to early voting, to grass roots involvement was detailed.
