Civic Engagement – Students Early Vote

For the second year, the New Orleans Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, through its National Trends and Services facet, has made civic engagement and participation a priority. It is only by teaching and engaging our youth that they become interested, knowledgeable, engaged and vested in the community. Last year, the chapter registered hundreds of high school students to vote and introduced the students to early voting. This year, the chapter made sure that the commitment to be community wise, involved and vested stayed with the students. Students and faculty from L B Landry High School and OP Walker College and Career Preparatory High School in Algiers, Louisiana were taken to the Algiers Courthouse to once again Vote!
