Welcome to The New Orleans (LA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated’s website. Here, you will find a historical account of our Chapter and highlights and photos regarding meaningful Chapter programs and exciting events.  We are happy to share valuable information about the Chapter’s arts and cultural awareness events, community service involvement, civic engagement, health awareness initiatives, youth education and scholarships, and international efforts and support.

We are a volunteer service organization committed to providing life-changing community service throughout the Metropolitan New Orleans area.  In November 1957, our fourteen charter members laid the foundation for the dedication our Chapter has shown to the community, especially in our commitment to our programs in the Arts, Health and Human Services, International Trends and Services, National Trends and Services and Services to Youth Facets.

Our Chapter membership is proudly comprised of incredible women, with remarkable talents and skills, who invest their time and efforts to enhance the lives of others.  Our individual and collective efforts, hard work, teamwork, tireless dedication, and support for one another personally, professionally, and in Linkdom exemplifies the mission of The New Orleans (LA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated – REFLECTIVE OF OUR ROOTS, COMMITTED TO OUR LEGACY, ENHANCING OUR COMMUNITY.

The heart of The Links, Incorporated is strong and far-reaching, based on a solid foundation, founded in 1946, as a women’s volunteer service organization committed to enriching, sustaining, and ensuring the cultural and economic survival of African Americans and other persons of African American ancestry. Today, as an international organization linked by over 16,000 women in 292 chapters located in 41 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of the Bahamas and the United Kingdom, The Links, Incorporated continues its legacy of friends providing service that changes lives.

As a part of The Southern Area of The Links, Incorporated, we are connected to members across 82 Chapters in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Georgia and the Commonwealth of the Bahamas.  This unique connection links us as we strive to live up to the mission of The Southern Area of The Links, Incorporated – COLLECTIVE EXCELLENCE: ELEVATING OUR FRIENDSHIP, ENRICHING OUR SERVICE.

Globally, our Sisterhood, built on relationships and friendships (old and new), with a shared vision to do our part in this world, embodies the magnificent mission of The Links, Incorporated – LINKED IN FRIENDSHIP, CONNECTED IN SERVICE
